Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions of Online Courses, which incorporate by reference the Terms and Conditions of Website Use and which are subject to any Additional Online Terms and Conditions (if any) (together, the “Online Terms”), apply to the sale of any Online Course.  Please read the Online Terms carefully before purchasing an Online Course and print off a copy for your records.  By ordering an Online Course, you are confirming your agreement to be bound by the Online Terms.

 

Course Subscription and Cancellation

Online Courses are on a subscription basis.They can be purchased on a monthly basis or 3-month recurring period.

 

Numbers of lessons vary from 8 or 20 lessons at 40 minutes per class.

•  8 lessons are valid up to a month.
•  20 lessons are valid up to 3 months.

When you subscribe to any of our online courses, it automatically renews monthly or every 3 months, unless cancelled. We will send you an email before your renewal period to keep you posted. When we don’t hear from you after sending the course subscription and the renewal day of your subscription comes, we will renew it automatically.

 

Trial Class

All new students are required to take a 20-minute trial class. The trial class will let the teacher get to know the learner better and assess his/her strong and weak points in English.  

Download the software

When you purchase any online course, you agree to download and use the software used to deliver the online class. Hub English expects you to download Zoom or Zhumu prior to your booked class.

You may use an iPad or a computer with a webcam and a headset with earphones and a microphone.

You will need a fast and stable internet connection in order to have good quality video and audio.

 

Purchase and Confirmation

In order to purchase an Online Course you must provide the required information and pay the amount specified. You must ensure that all information provided is complete and accurate.

When you place an order for an Online Course, you are offering to purchase that Online Course on the Online Terms.  

 

A legally binding agreement shall only come into existence once:

 (a) Hub English has accepted your offer to purchase an Online Course by sending you an order confirmation email which will provide                  you with a link to access the Online Course Booking Page, along with log on details (if applicable); and

 (b) Hub English has received from you (or on your behalf) the entire Course Fee in cleared funds,

 

The Online Terms, together with your purchase offer and the order confirmation email, constitute the entire agreement between us (the “Contract”) and supersedes and replaces any other terms and conditions previously published by us and any other understanding, undertaking, representation, warranty, arrangement, promise or statement of any nature whatsoever made by us to you, whether oral, written or otherwise, relating to the subject matter of the Online Terms.  You acknowledge that you have not relied on any understanding, undertaking, representation, warranty, arrangement, promise or statement made or given by us or on our behalf, which is not set out in the Contract.

Refunds

Once you start your first lesson, after the trial class, all course is NON-refundable and NON-transferable.

 

Booking a Class

By subscribing to any of our online course, you agree to make appointments prior to your class using 10to8 scheduling app. 

Book your class at least 24 hours in advance, to guarantee a high quality lessons and a convenient lesson time for you.

 

Rescheduling and Cancellation of Class

Lessons can be rescheduled more than 12 hours before the start of the lesson. If it is less than 12 hours you will be charged the full price.

 

If you do not reschedule or cancel and you do not arrive for the lesson, you will be charged the full price.

 

If you arrive late, you will lose that time. Our teacher/s will always wait for 20 minutes, if you do not arrive after 20 minutes, you will be charged for the lesson.

 

Unfortunately, we cannot reschedule the class if you have technical problems. However, if the problem is on our side, the lesson will be rescheduled.

 

Physical Study Materials (if applicable)

Where Physical Study Materials accompany the Online Course and they are supplied Hub English, a delivery charge may be payable by you to Hub English.  The details of any delivery charges will be set out on the Website and/or in any relevant Brochure and/or will be notified to you by Hub English Teachers (Teacher Erik or Teacher May) through email or chat message. Hub English will post the Physical Study Materials to the person and address you give at the time you make your order. 

 

Modifications to Online Courses or technology enhancements

From time to time, Hub English may make modifications or enhancements to the Online Courses.  You will have access to such changes free of charge only to the extent that such changes relate to the Online Course purchased by you.

 

Intellectual Property

At all times, Hub English and/or its licensors, remain the owner of the intellectual property in the Online Courses and the Course Materials.  Other than as specified in this website, no Online Course and/or Course Materials, nor any part of it may be reproduced, stored in a retrieval system or transmitted in any form or by any means without the prior written permission of Hub English. 

 

Termination

We may terminate or suspend Your access immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if You breach these Terms and Conditions.

 

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately.

 

Changes to These Terms and Conditions

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material we will make reasonable efforts to provide at least 30 days’ notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.

 

By continuing to access or use Our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, in whole or in part, please stop using the website and the Service.
